Biography:

My name is Adam Hansel, but I am also known as DEADVOLT, ASH, ADAMSKI, and sometimes even “HEY ASSHOLE!”, all to which I answer. I was born and raised in a once prominent city known as Dubuque, Iowa, which has seeming become the grazing ground for chain restaurants and thought-to-be-dead Pre-Civil War Southern ideals. I now live and work in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have done alot of work for a variety of different clients... it may even be that you have seen something I have made or designed and not even known it...maybe.....anyways, I never intended to become a designer, but it kind of fell on me, like the house did on the wicked witch of the East... Okay, maybe not so dramatic as that... one of the teachers at the university I attended saw some of my drawings and said that I should join his illustration class. Well, I did, and now I am here. I haven’t decided if that is good or bad yet, but I will let you know when I do decide.

I have remained relatively unknown, but that is probably because I am scared of people... not scared of people like “AHHHH!! PEOPLE!!”, but it seems like every time I leave my studio apartment some nut jumps out in front of me and screams at me, with such profanities as: “SMELL THIS PERFUME!”, 100% OFF!! BUY BUY BUY!!!”, and “GOTTA CIGARETTE?”. What happened to the good old days when we all walked to and from school, upside down, both ways???? Oh well, back to me. I do a lot of different things: draw, paint, illustration, animation, design, print, construction, etc, etc, etc. I have learned to do all of these things because I like to know how things work, and I like to be self-sufficient.

I admire most everyone, I think people who work hard are great. There are a few creative people whose grey matter I would love to suck out of their brains, but I will not name them, for fear of spoiling my future plans of doing exactly that.

What else can I say...... modesty..... foiled again.
